Our Everyday, 41&42/52. Dark. Friend.
I'm cheating on this one. I'm all out of order, and way over-sharing. This post could also have been titled "Montreal in sun and rain." Every year we do an overnight in Montreal. This year is was a month earlier than usual, and what a difference. No winter coats!
Here's the friend part:
Here's the dark part:
The way I view "Back to school."
I'm taking a bit of a different approach to the topic this month. This is the first year that both kids are in school. Back to school feels empty. Not necessarily in a bad way, but definitely a quiet way.
There are no feet dangling from (or twirling, or standing on, or falling from) the kitchen stools.
There are no train tracks or giant castles being built.
There are stuffies waiting to be loved.
There are dolls patiently waiting for tea.
And there's a Mommy who should be cleaning but is posting pictures on the computer instead (hee hee)!
Feel free to pop on over to Rachel, to see how she views "Back to school."
